Roots ‘n’ blues veterans the Nighthawks are a respected brand with a long and storied history behind the name. Formed in 1972 by singer/harp player Mark Wenner and guitarist Jimmy Thackery, the band was part of a thriving early 1970s Washington D.C. music scene that included talents like Roy Buchanan and Danny Gatton. Through the years, the band has released better than 20 albums and rotated through a number of musicians, but they’ve always been led by Wenner’s undeniable vision and love of music.

Jah Works

Jah Works is a true grassroots success story that emerged from Baltimore’s reggae scene over 20 years ago. This is music made by and for lovers of real, authentic reggae music. Consistently performing hundreds of shows a year worldwide, they have forged their sound in clubs, festivals and on the sun drenched beaches of Negril.

A BENEFIT FOR HISTORIC ELLICOTT CITY

Kelly Bell Band

Local favorites Kelly Bell Band rewrote lyrics to their classic track “Homegrown”.  The reworked song now features lyrics inspired by the flood in Ellicott City and was recently recorded at Wrightway Studios in Baltimore.  Formed as a backup band for Bo Diddley, the Kelly Bell Band is now closing in on its twentieth year of playing, recording, and entertaining fans. They were voted the Best Blues Band in the Mid Atlantic Region 12 years in a row.
